For most people the answer is decided before the tax year ends, long before the return is filed. These are the three gaps we see most often.
Deadlines are met, yet nobody looks ahead at allowances, reliefs, pension contributions or timing before the tax year closes.
Selling a property or business, paying yourself, moving abroad or passing on wealth: the tax is set by how it is done, and is hard to undo afterwards.
Dividend tax rose in April 2026, Making Tax Digital started for landlords and sole traders with income over £50,000, and unused pensions come into inheritance tax from April 2027.
Our solution
We review your position before deadlines and decisions, set out your options in writing with the numbers, and keep you ahead as the rules change. One Chartered Tax Advisor, on a fixed fee, all year round.
Start with who you are.
We plan your tax around what you want to do next, whether that is selling, investing, retiring or passing wealth on to your family.
Planning ahead, all year.
Whether you are a UK resident, relocating to or from the UK, or have international interests with UK tax exposure, we work out how the rules apply to you and set out the options that fit your plans.
Chartered Tax Advisor and Chartered Accountant, so your tax and your accounts are looked at together.
UK residents, internationally mobile individuals and overseas clients with UK tax exposure.
We stay in touch through the year, as well as preparing your returns.
Clear, fixed-fee proposals agreed upfront. If you need extra work, we agree the fee with you before we start.
A confidential call or meeting, usually 30 to 45 minutes, about your circumstances, what you want to achieve and any deadlines coming up. Beforehand we ask for a short summary of your income, assets and any letters from HMRC, so the conversation is specific from the start. By the end you know whether we can help and what the work would involve.
We set out in writing what we will do, what we need from you and the fixed fee, and send our engagement letter for you to sign. We then complete our identity and anti-money laundering checks, which means photo ID and proof of address, and register as your agent with HMRC where the work needs it.
We review your current position, check the legislation and HMRC guidance, and analyse the options and planning opportunities open to you with your own figures. You receive written advice recommending the approach that works best from a tax perspective and for you, and we talk it through before anything is filed or put in place.
We prepare and file the returns and claims that follow, and work with your solicitor or financial advisor where a will, trust or pension is involved. Through the year we remind you before payments are due, review your position before 5 April and after each Budget, and deal with HMRC on your behalf.
Tax advice before you act, based on your wider circumstances and long-term plans, so you can decide with the numbers in front of you.

I've worked with AP Tax Advisors for over two years, covering both personal and company tax matters, and have consistently found Akash's knowledge and professionalism to be highly impressive. Their approach goes beyond simply completing tax filings as they take the time to understand the wider picture and focus on tax effectiveness, making use of legitimately available allowances and reliefs where appropriate. Communication is clear & practical.
I have received excellent personal and corporate tax support from AP Tax Advisors. The advice is clear, thorough, and tailored to my circumstances. Everything is explained carefully, and I feel confident knowing my tax affairs are being handled properly and proactively. You deal directly with a Chartered Tax Advisor who is also a Chartered Accountant.
Chartered Tax Advisors hold the advanced tax qualification of the CIOT and focus on tax law, planning and strategy. We hold both qualifications, so our tax advice takes your wider finances into account.
Compliance is a fixed monthly subscription; advisory work is a fixed project fee. Fees are agreed upfront, and any extra work is agreed with you before it starts.
